Version 1.10 of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Single-Player & Cooperative will be released this Summer, alongside RealRTCW 4.0.

Since we're talking about a lot of textures (and, as a result, heavy files), this part of the update will remain optional, and will be released separately, as a RealRTCW/ RealRTCWCoop-exclusive addon - except on Steam, where it will be included by default.

Most of the environmental textures were made by the very unique Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory mapper and friend KeMoN for the popular ET: Legacy mod and, with his agreement, are all coming to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Single-Player & Cooperative. Even extended Steam player statuses!īesides support for the upcoming version of RealRTCW, and in addition to various bug fixes, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Single-Player & Cooperative's next update will also include new, high-quality "remastered" textures, for assets, models and environments. It's not a secret: RealRTCW 4.0 is real, and it's coming soon, and the next version of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Single-Player - Version 1.10 - will fully take advantage of its new features, which include a revamped AI system, new models, animations, plenty of bug fixes, QOL improvements, and much more. Version 1.10 Coming This Summer, Includes RealRTCW 4.0 Support, Remastered Textures. If a kind soul has a copy and by "accident" were to DM me with a link i'd be forever grateful and send some karma their way. You'll agree: today is the best day for a major news update regarding the mod! Should ID Software ask the devs of Forgotten Hope 2 to take down their mod becuase they are using ID's assets, engine and universe? Or would that just be petty and mean since there is no money on the table? This attitude is simply toxic to modding. Modding is not a zero-sum game, it's a collaboration. There is already long between good campagins of this caliber and BS like this just complicates the process further, resulting in longer wait-times between releases. It would save everybody a lot of time and effort if we could be, you know, a COMMUNITY about releasing quality content.

Mods are already hard to make without having to do everything from the ground up and different modders have different areas of expertise. 99% of mods use other peoples assets, that's how it works. This kind of ownership is for devs with original IPs, not a modding community. Of course their hard work should be credited but modding is and have always been manipulating already existing content. Part of me understands the need to claim some ownership over your hard work, but hogging content for a 20 year old game!? Come on! What a bunch of Divas. Christ! Had my PC in the repair shop for the last couple of months, just to return to this mod and find out that it was taken down by some possesive mod devs.
